Six Poster Series Design for Kansas City’s Folly Theater’s Jazz Series contest inspired by the music of Featured Artists

Each poster in the series was inspired by the rhythm and movement
of the featured artists represented through the dance and colors attached to
each artist. The main dancer with its matching line art is used to show the
style of each artist and the background line art is used to represent the
previous step in the dance to show the change in movement and rhythm. The
background brick is the actual background wall of the Folly Theater to give the
image presence in the performance space.
