ECOSARC
Brand Identity design for Kansas City Art Institute’s Faculty ran ECOSARC committee
BRANDING
Identity, Campaign, Print
Tasked with the challenge of asisting KCAI’s ECOSARC recycling comitee, I worked with a small team of fellow designers to take at look the effeciency of our campus’ recycling program. After extensive research, our team decided the most efficient course of action to overcome these problems would be to incorporate a brand system into the ECOSARC committee. Producing a visual identity system for ECOSARC was the highest–impact solution that had the greatest possibility of having longevity, with the potential to be easily implemented across campus.
Throughout the duration of this project, we visited eight departments at KCAI to interview faculty and students regarding how to successfully implement the ECOSARC recycling brand system in their studios. We discovered that every department required different forms of the ECOSARC brand application: the types of materials being recycled in every studio varied, and the space available for recycling bins was also diverse. It became apparent that the need for a highly customizable, flexible brand system was necessary to meet the needs of the various community members that reside on the KCAI campus.
